Step by step

Download the installer
Click the download button above. Your browser saves a file named GetCoreBiz-Setup.msi, usually to your Downloads folder.

Run it
Double-click the downloaded file. If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click More info, then Run anyway — this appears for all new installers.

Follow the prompts
Accept the default location and click Install. When Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes?", click Yes. Installation takes under a minute.

Open GetCoreBiz
A GetCoreBiz icon appears on your desktop and in the Start menu. Double-click it to open.

Sign in
Enter the Business Code, username and password we sent you. The Business Code is your business’s short name — type it once and this computer remembers it.

Change your password
Go to Settings → Change password and set your own. Do this before adding staff.
Your first hour: a setup checklist
- ☐Change the admin password (Settings → Change password).
- ☐Add your branch details (Branches) if you run more than one location.
- ☐Create your product categories, then add products with prices and stock counts.
- ☐For items that expire, set the expiry date and batch number as you add them.
- ☐Add your staff and give each one the right role — cashiers only see the till.
- ☐Add your suppliers so you can raise purchase orders later.
- ☐Set up a cash register and open your first shift before selling.
Common questions
Do I need internet?
Yes for setup and for reports. Once running, the POS keeps working if your connection drops — sales are saved on the computer and sync automatically when the internet returns.
Can I use it without installing anything?
Yes. GetCoreBiz runs in any modern browser — just visit this site and sign in. The installer simply gives you a desktop icon and its own window.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Open the site in Chrome on your phone and choose "Add to Home screen". The phone camera works as a barcode scanner.
How many computers can I install it on?
As many as you need — tills, the back office, the manager’s laptop. Your subscription covers the business, not the device.
Where is my data stored?
On our secure servers, backed up automatically. If a shop computer is lost, stolen or damaged, your records are safe — sign in from another machine and everything is there.
I forgot my Business Code.
Call or message us and we will confirm it. It is the short name we gave you when your account was created.
